Chief Minister Sai inaugurated newly constructed District Transport Office in Mungeli

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the newly constructed District Transport Office building at a cost of Rs 1 crore 72 lakh in village Bachera of Patharia development block of Mungeli district. He said that for a long time there was a lack of facility of permanent transport office building in the district, causing difficulty in licenses, vehicle registration and other works to ordinary citizens. Now this facility will be available at the local level with the new building, which will give a lot of relief to the public.

On the occasion of the inauguration, the Chief Minister granted learning licenses to five applicants as a symbol, which gave happiness to his face. On this occasion, he said that the priority of the state government is to provide time -bound and easy services to the public. All major services including vehicle registration, driving license will be available in the same campus through the new office building.

Built on six acres of land, this complex has been reserved for an office building on one acre and five acres of area driving test and fitness testing center. The building has provided basic facilities like 18 chambers, 6 halls, attached late-baths and general toilets. The office is designed in a thorough convenient form, which will also increase the efficiency of departmental works.

It is noteworthy that since 2021-22, 11,721 driving licenses have been made in the district so far and more than 49,000 vehicles have been registered. This figure shows that there is a great demand for transport services among the people, which this new office will fulfill it easily. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that along with giving impetus to development in the state, it is a continuous effort of our government to increase administrative efficiency and service.

Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Saw, MLA Mr. Punnulal Mohale, Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. P Dayanand and other officers and public representatives were present on the occasion.
