The World Legal Metrology Day 2025 was celebrated with full enthusiasm and dignity at the ceremony held at Naveen Vishram Bhawan in the capital Raipur. Devendra Bhardwaj, Controller of Chhattisgarh Controller of Legal Measurement Department, said that legal measurement is the backbone of consumer protection, industrial progress and transparent trade. Whether it is the measurement of one liter of fuel at the petrol pump or the correct weight of a package item, this work affects the daily life of every citizen.

He said that the Comptroller of the Department of Legal Mekrology is the theme of this year at all times, the accurate measurement for all which reminds us how important measurement is in ensuring quality, security, justice and sustainable development in every sphere of our life.

Controller Bhardwaj said that the Department of Legal Mekrology of Chhattisgarh is moving towards continuous progress. We have made our services more transparent and effective through digital verification system, mobile van, e-governance platform and industry participation. We are working in accordance with the modernization of our laboratories, awareness of measures in micro and small scale industries and national initiatives like Ease of Doing Business and "Buness Reform". He said that I express my gratitude to the departmental minister Dayaldas Baghel, the Central Legal Measurement Department and all the stakeholders, with whom we are moving forward. He said that today on the occasion of World Legal Measurement Day, we take a pledge that we will measure not only with equipment, but also with purpose and vision so that we are more powerful and durable tomorrow. On this occasion, he honored inspectors and enforcement parties who did excellent work in the department. Representatives of Chhattisgarh Petroleum Dealers Welfare Association, who were involved in the program, thanked Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Minister Dayaldas Baghel for deleting the food license by the state government.
