Scholarships were distributed to children of Tendupatta collecting families under various scholarship schemes run by Chhattisgarh State Small Forest Produce Cooperative Union, Maryadit, Raipur. This amount was directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of Sukma district or their parents.

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap has clearly directed the officers of the Forest Department to wide publicity of government schemes being run by the department and all beneficiaries should be given timely benefits.

Forest Divisional Officer Sukma Shri Akshay Bhonsle said that under the meritorious scholarship scheme, 46 students have been distributed a total, one lakh twenty -four thousand five hundred rupees. At the same time, a total of 34 students have been provided a scholarship of five lakh seventy thousand rupees under the talented scholarship scheme. Apart from this, a total financial assistance grant of forty thousand rupees has been provided to 6 students under the business scholarship scheme.

Forest Officer Mr. Bhonsle also informed that the employees of the forest department have been directed as an innovative initiative to inform each Tendupatta collecting family about this financial assistance and ensure that the beneficiaries get information about the amount on time. Along with this, he has called upon the communities living in the forest to come forward and participate in Tendupatta collection work, so that they too can benefit through the welfare schemes of the government. These schemes not only encourage children in the field of education, but also strengthen the socio-economic status of forest dwellers.

According to the instructions of the district in -charge Minister and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Srinivasa Rao, this effort of the Forest Department is an important step towards providing benefits of government schemes till the last person of the society.
