The heaviest rains of the year in Bengaluru killed three people on Monday. The six -hour torrential rains demolished several records of rain. The most tragic accident occurred in the BTM layout, where an elderly and 12 -year -old boy died of current while draining the water stored in an apartment complex. Earlier, the wall of a house collapsed due to heavy rains in the whitefield, killing a 35 -year -old woman housekeeper.

The city received heavy rains for more than six hours on Sunday and Monday, causing waterlogging in roads, basements and low -lying areas in many areas. According to the information, the accident took place around 6 pm on Monday evening. The deceased have been identified as Manmohan Kamat (63) and Dinesh (12). Dinesh was the son of an employee of Nepali origin, who is working in the same apartment.

DCP South East Division Sarah Fatima said, "Kamat had ordered the motor from outside and was trying to extract the water stored in the basement by connecting it with electricity. During this time, he got electrocuted with a short circuit. Dinesh who was helping him was also currently current and he died on the spot." Both bodies have been sent to St. John's Hospital for postmortem.
Woman dies in whitefield

Due to rain, a compound wall fell in the whitefield, killing a 35 -year -old female housekeeper. On the other hand, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said that 210 flood potential areas have been identified in Bengaluru, out of which 166 have solved the problem. The traffic police has given a list of 132 waterlogging places, out of which 82 have been fixed, while 41 work is in progress. Shivkumar said, "The rain is not under our control, but we are identifying the flood areas and solving and focusing on providing relief to the people."
