Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today launched the virtual of the Indian Overseas Bank branch in Jagargunda of Sukma from the Chief Minister's residence. About 14 thousand villagers from 12 nearby villages will get the benefit of banking facility from this branch of the bank.

Chief Minister Shri Sai while addressing the inaugural program through a video conference said that today is historic for the people of this region. The region has been affected by Naxalism for a long time. In the last one and a half years, in our double engine government, we have managed to establish peace in Bastar region. This is the reason that the new branch of the bank is open here today. People are providing benefits of schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said on the occasion that the strategy of security, development and trust of the state government, continuous campaigns of security forces and the determination of the central and state government, the villages of Bastar zone are rapidly joining the mainstream of development by recovering from the Naxal problem.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has guaranteed to provide banking facility in all Gram Panchayat, on which 1460 Atal Panchayat Digital Services Center has been started in 10 - 10 Gram Panchayats of each development block on the occasion of National Panchayat Day. Where villagers have started getting the benefit of banking facilities. This facility will be expanded in all gram panchayats in one year. The Chief Minister also informed the villagers in detail about good governance Tihar. Shri Sai said that during good governance Tihar, he himself has visited the digital service centers and took stock of the arrangements. Villagers are taking advantage of banking facility here.

Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary said that when he was a collector in Dantewada, this area was severely affected. Had to think before going to the inner area. In the year 2001, there was a branch of Grameen Bank in this building, which was tried to rob by the Naxalites. Today, the branch of Indian Overseas Bank is opening in this building. From here, the villagers will get the amount of many schemes like Tendupatta Bonus, Kisan Samman Nidhi in the village itself.

Finance Minister Shri Chaudhary, while inspecting the cash counter and branch manager office in the bank premises, also opened his account in the bank. Along with them, Women's Commission member Ms. Deepika Sori also opened her account in the bank. It is noteworthy that along with the bank, the facility of ATM has also been made available to the villagers.
