Madhya Pradesh Farmer's Startling Threat Against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Sparks Investigation

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) conducted an inquiry involving a 20-year-old resident of Madhya Pradesh's Morena district, identified as Sunil Gurjar. Gurjar, hailing from Hasai Mewda village, allegedly made a threatening phone call to the office of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expressing intentions to harm him.

Upon receiving the threat, a team from the UP STF traveled to Morena to question Gurjar. According to Darshan Shukla, the in-charge of Civil Lines police station, while Gurjar was interrogated, he was not taken into custody, and no formal charges have been filed at this time. Preliminary investigations revealed that Gurjar, who has an educational background up to the eighth grade and is engaged in farming activities, does not possess any prior criminal record. When questioned about his motives, Gurjar reportedly stated that he issued the threat because he aspired to become a "don."

This incident is part of a concerning pattern where individuals have issued threats against high-profile political figures. In a similar case, a man from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested after dialing the emergency number 112 and threatening to shoot Chief Minister Adityanath on January 26. The individual also issued threats against local police officials. Following the threat, law enforcement agencies swiftly traced and apprehended the suspect.

Such incidents underscore the challenges faced by security agencies in monitoring and responding to threats against public officials. The authorities continue to emphasize the importance of vigilance and the need for prompt action to ensure the safety of public figures and maintain public order.
