The Ministry of External Affairs is running a passport mobile van for convenience in view of the difficulties faced by the people of the Foreign Ministry. The entire process of making passports in this high -tech van will be completed. This van will be transported once a week to different areas. People only have to reach this van. The rest of the work will be done by employees and officers posted in the van.
This facility has also started in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan. Now Chhattisgarh has also been included in this Mahati scheme of this Ministry of External Affairs. Soon Chhattisgarh Passport Office is going to get the first van. The route of where the van will go here is also being prepared.
Immediate passport in three days
Actually, it is not possible to go abroad without passport. The number of people going abroad is also increasing every year. The process of making passports has also become easier. The immediate passport is being made available in three days. The fee for this is only 3500 rupees. A fee of Rs 1500 is charged for general passport. It is released in two weeks after all the process is completed.
Regional Passport Officer Gaurav Garg informed that a mobile van is being started for the convenience of the people. There will be all the work of making passports in it. People will not have to go to the center. Initially this van will be run where there is no passport office. So that people can get passports made in front of the houses.
6 lakh passports in 19 years
In Raipur, people had to go to Bhopal to get a new passport till 2007 in 2007. For the first time, the office opened 45 passports that year. After this, the number of passports made every year increased. For the last three years, more than 50 thousand people are getting passports every year.
