Know who was Basav Raju
According to the information, in 2018, Basav Raju was given the command of the Naxal organization. Baswa Raju's real name is Nambala Keshav Rao. It is also known as Gagna, Prakash and BR. His father's name is Vasudev Rao and he is quite old. His age is said to be around 75 years. He had studied B.Tech, he was a resident of Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh. Vaswa Raju was a dreaded Naxalite, he was the senior cadre of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and was the Chief of the South Bastar Divisional Committee. Raju was active on the borders of Chhattisgarh, Odisha to Andhra Pradesh.

Naxalite Raju had carried out several Naxalite attacks. These include murder of policemen and citizens, extortion from mining companies and damaging government properties. The biggest attack was Sukma and Detwara Naxalite attack. 75 CRPF personnel were martyred in the 2010 Dantewada attack. He had only his hand in this.

Five women Maoists arrested for 36 lakhs in Gadchiroli
Police and CRPF have taken joint action and arrested five Maoists in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra bordering Chhattisgarh. The Maharashtra government had declared a reward of Rs 36 lakh on these.
Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Neelotpal said that the Maoists caught in joint action of police and CRPF during the TCOC period included a divisional committee member, one area committee member and three platoon members.
The police have arrested three Maoists, while two others have been detained on suspicion of being a minor and produced before the Child Court Board.
The arrested Maoists have been identified as Ungi Mangru Hoyam alias Sumli DVSM, Platoon 32), Pallavi Kesa Medium alias Bandi ACM, Platoon 32 and Deve Kosa Podiam alias Sabita Platoon. All of them are from Bijapur.
Two other Maoist members have been presented to the Child Court Board if they are not confirmed with age. A reward of Rs 16 lakh was declared on Fenge Mangru Hoyam, eight lakhs on Pallavi Kesa Medium, four lakhs on Deve Kosa Podiyam and a total of eight lakh rupees on other two.
Maoists were trying to ambush
On the basis of secret information, the Gadchiroli police and the C-60 commando team conducted a search operation on 18 May on the news of 50 to 60 Maoists gathering in Bingunda village under Lahari police station area. On May 19, the C-60 commando squad began a search surrounded the village and took five Maoists into custody without any encounter.
Weapon recovered
Security forces from Maoists have recovered a automatic SLR, a 303 rifle, three single shot rifles, two full guns, three walkie-taki sets and other materials including Naxalite literature.
103 arrests in three years
According to the police, all five Maoists have been involved in several serious incidents, including attacks on security forces. The Gadchiroli police have arrested a total of 103 Maoists since January 2022, who are considered to be a major success towards weakening the Naxal network.
