Gaza
The situation in Gaza Strip is deteriorating every hour. The United Nations has warned that about 14,000 children can die if human assistance is not provided in the next 48 hours. The entire blockade on behalf of Israel since March 2025 has put Gaza in the fire of starvation and malnutrition. The Israeli government in March had completely stopped food, water and fuel supply in Gaza. Due to international pressure, some relief trucks have recently been allowed to enter, but where Gaza needs 500 trucks daily, only 5 to 10 trucks are being sent.

Children's most impact on children
According to Gaza's government, about 3 lakh children are on the verge of starvation while 11 lakh children are struggling with serious malnutrition. Every fifth adult is also hungry. Experts say that it is not just 'hunger', but it is a three-step starvation in which the body slowly tries to survive by eating muscles and bones.

Gaza turned into 'open jail'
Gaza is a 40 km long area, where about 6000 people live per square kilometer. Since Hamas came to power in 2007, Israel and Egypt sealed the boundaries of the region, which was called the United Nations and Human Rights Organizations called 'Open Air Prison' (open jail).
Will UN and ICJ just warn?
The biggest question in the midst of this severe human crisis is whether the United Nations and ICJ will continue to issue only warnings in this situation or will take any drastic steps about war crimes against Israel? So far, there have been more than 1,726 deaths in Israel and more than 57,000 deaths in Gaza, including a large number of women and children.
International law
Intentionally depriving the population of food, water and medicine falls under the category of 'War Crime' in international law. Despite this, the action of organizations like ICJ and UN seems to be limited to 'appeal' and 'warning' only. The human tragedy in Gaza has now surpassed the alarming mode. Children's deaths, closed boundaries and insufficient relief are all embarrassing humanity together. Now the question is whether the big forces of the world will just keep reading the report, or will do something?
