A big accident took place during work in the field in village Garhwat of Ratanpur police station area. Three people, including Punjab's harvester driver, were hit by the current while filling the diesel in the harvester machine, causing all the scorching. The three injured were referred to Sims Hospital in Bilaspur after first aid, where their treatment is going on. According to doctors, the condition of all is currently stable.
According to the information, the harvester driver Nirmal Singh, who came from Punjab in Garhwat village, was filling diesel in the field, along with his companions Sukhdev Singh and Pradeep Kumar were also present. Meanwhile, the high voltage line was passing near the machine. Suddenly the current spread from the high voltage line passing above. All were scorched due to the grip of current.
The villagers present on the spot immediately rushed him to Ratanpur Community Health Center, from where he was referred to Bilaspur. The condition of the three injured is currently stable. Outrage was seen among the villagers after the accident. He blamed the power line passing over the farm for the accident and demanded the power department to remove it.
